Moving off Xero, Wave, FreshBooks, or a stack of spreadsheets? We migrate your prior data into QBO, rebuild the records that didn't come across cleanly, and fix the miscategorizations carried over from your old system so your history is consistent with your new chart of accounts.

Is the QuickBooks Online subscription included?
Yes. Your QuickBooks Online subscription is included in every Laya plan at no extra cost. We provision it, configure it, and maintain it as your financial source of truth — so there's no separate QBO bill to manage and no version mismatch between what we work in and what you see.
Can you migrate from Xero, Wave, or spreadsheets?
Yes. We regularly migrate clients off Xero, Wave, FreshBooks, and spreadsheet-based bookkeeping into QuickBooks Online. We bring your historical data across, rebuild anything that doesn't transfer cleanly, and align it to your new chart of accounts so the past stays consistent with how you'll report going forward.
How long does QBO setup take?
Most clients onboard within about 5 business days. The exact timeline depends on how many accounts we're connecting and the state of your prior records, but a clean setup — chart of accounts, connected feeds, opening balances, and reconciliation — is typically ready within that window so your first close stays on schedule.
What if my historical books are messy?
Setup gets you a clean starting point going forward; cleaning up a backlog of disorganized prior-period books is catch-up bookkeeping, which we quote separately based on scope. Many clients pair the two during onboarding so they launch on QBO with both a clean file and accurate history.
Do I have to use QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Laya is cloud-first and built around QuickBooks Online — it's required and included in your plan. We work remotely over email and video against your QBO file, so it's the single source of truth we configure, connect, and reconcile against every month.
